Stone Temple Pilots Plan Tour, EP with Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington

Stone Temple Pilots are hitting the road this September and releasing an EP this fall with new singer Chester Bennington who steps in for original singer Scott Weiland.
The rockers will start off September 4th in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, at the Sands Bethlehem Events Center and wrap up on September 27th at the Freemont Street Experience in Las Vegas. They'll also play one more show on November 1st at the Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Stone Temple Pilots are also planning an EP of new music for a release this fall, their first with Linkin Park singer Bennington fronting the band. "When you get together and put a new piece in, there's a whole different energy," Bennington told Rolling Stone in May. "For us the creative juices have just been flowing – we've been writing, we have tons of great ideas."
The group fired original singer Scott Weiland in February, and Stone Temple Pilots later sued Weiland in May over the singer's use of the band's name and catalog in his solo tour. Weiland filed a countersuit against Stone Temple Pilots, seeking at least $5 million and claiming his former bandmates conspired against him.
